Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group Named ‘50th 49er’ by Alaska Business

ANCHORAGE, WA October 10, 2021 – Each year, Alaska Business releases their Top 49 Alaska-owned companies ranked by gross revenue. List makers span across all industries, from tourism to healthcare to retail to transportation, and everything in between. But their 2021 list of 49ers looks a little different. Why may you ask? There’s a number 50.

As Alaska Business put it, “A mix of low interest rates, lack of inventory, and more time spent at home has resulted in a real estate boom unlike any other. Real estate firms, like our honorary ‘50th 49er’ Keller Williams, are at the forefront of this new development.” This recognition honors the hardworking team at Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group, with 2020 revenue totaling $38,841,462 spanning across their offices located in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla, Fairbanks, and Soldotna, which have since grown in 2021 to include Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan offices.

2021 is trending to be even bigger, according to their Operating Principal Barbara Huntley. “From January to July, our business is up 41 percent from last year. From January to the end of July, we had just over $1 billion in sales volume and gross commissions just under $30 million for year to date. That will put us on pace to smash our $38 million revenue,” said Huntley.

The market center’s consistent year-over-year growth is credited to the Keller Williams tools they’ve encouraged their agents to adopt, their targeted coaching and recruiting practices, and the culture they’ve cultivated within their business, as seen in their local philanthropic efforts. Additionally, Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group made extra steps during a critical time starting as soon as the pandemic hit using creative pivots to maintain momentum as they continued building and fostering relationships.

“At Keller Williams, we truly want our people to come in and build an amazing life and build a business that has value,” said Josh Nelson, Alaska Group Team Leader. “We’re not going to be measured by how much money we make at the end of the day. We’re going to be measured by the lives that we change and the leaders that we grow.”

To us, that makes them number 1.
