Nick Shivers Inducted Into Real Estate Newsmakers Hall of Fame

PORTLAND, OR November 14, 2021 – Since 2018, RISMedia has welcomed Real Estate Newsmakers into their Hall of Fame and for the first time ever, Keller Williams has joined this honored group. Nick Shivers, President, CEO, and self-proclaimed ‘Chief Chaos Coordinator’ of The Nick Shivers Team with Keller Williams Realty Portland Central, has earned a spot amongst 36 other talented real estate individuals known for making headlines. Hundreds of nominations come in from RISMedia’s editorial team and readers, but only those few real estate professionals who demonstrated their resiliency, selflessness, ingenuity and initiative were selected for the Hall of Fame.

“I’m kind of speechless,” said Shivers. “I have no clue how I got here. The names on this list are super impressive. It’s like when you walk into a party and say to yourself ‘I am really underdressed.’” He may be humble, but to the Keller Williams Northwest Region, this honor comes as no surprise. As a real estate leader with over 20 years of industry experience, Shivers sets the bar impossibly high with his heart and passion for helping others.

In 2016, he launched a non-profit movement with Sell a Home, Save a Child (SAHSAC), which to date has raised over $2.5 million to help vulnerable children and now includes 54 members nationwide. After serving on short-term mission trips, Shivers saw firsthand the children facing devastation by material poverty. He decided to do something about it. Shivers and his philanthropic partner Eric Hatch teamed up with Forward Edge International to create SAHSAC, using the power and reach of the real estate community to change lives around the world.

Real estate professionals are invited to select between Silver, Gold, and Platinum memberships, with funds providing holistic care for as few as six children to as many as 18. In exchange, SAHSAC provides membership benefits, including marketing materials, monthly impact reports, and even free trips through Forward Edge’s children’s program.

In addition to his non-profit work, Shivers brings his A-game to helping communities right here in the Northwest. In 2020, The Nick Shivers Team surpassed $157 million in closed volume on 348 units. This year, he’s on track to beat those numbers and bring in over $5.7 million in GCI. Providing the security and comfort of homeownership for local families only motivates him to grow further.

On November 12, 2021 Shivers attended the Real Estate Newsmakers Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the San Diego Marriott, in conjunction with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Conference & Expo. Shivers celebrated this milestone surrounded by his Keller Williams family and friends.
