What makes Keller Williams special to you?

I love our MVVBP (Mission, Vision, Values, Beliefs, Perspective)! Keller William stands apart because of our value system and ethics, very important to me and I love that we say GOD FAMILY BUSINESS as this is how I structure my life.

Why are DEI conversations important, especially in the real estate industry?

Because of the real estate industry’s past role in promoting unfair housing practices, I think it is essential that we are involved in the solution to remedying the effects of segregation in housing. We are the change we want to see in this industry and we have to lead out loud, proud and out front! Understanding that diversity and equity strengthen the communities we serve, creating equal access to neighborhoods, and fostering a real change that will impact the lives of families positively for years to come.

What can the KW Northwest Region look forward to in 2022?

Look forward to getting involved! We want to have actionable items available for each person, each leader, each market center to create equity opportunities for all. Let’s all commit to taking the classes, self reflection, learning about others with an open mind, valuing differences and seeking to serve and speak up for those who are not in a position to speak up for themselves.

It will require all of us to be “all in” if we’re going to achieve these goals!

While KW Commercial has been around for some time, it really has never been a focus for growth within our large KW organization. We have an opportunity now, with renewed vision from International, to really gain market share in each of our markets. KW Commercial as an “organization” within  KW International is finally shaping into a sustainable division. It is very exciting to not only witness but also to know that we are growing, organically, the systems and tools to assist in making local leadership, our market centers, and our fellow agents aware of the opportunities we/they have to grow KW Commercial while at the same time, tapping into another potential income stream.

What opportunities should people in the Northwest Region be exploring in this community?

There are so many commercial opportunities, in every marketplace, that get passed by every day and we need to be able to educate everyone involved and show that there is no reason to pass up those opportunities. We have the people, the expertise, and the tools to create success for both KW International, KW Commercial, our individual Market Centers and individual agents. I grew up farming and ranching and currently own a small irrigated farm. I have a passion for that lifestyle and understand the business of farming and ranching in detail. I am super excited to partner with KW leadership and for the opportunity to learn more and share the news with my local region and market center.

What opportunities should people within the Region be exploring in this community?

There are many large commercial farms in the Northwest, plus there is a wide variety of hobby farms and recreational opportunities. Agents should be educated in water rights, mineral rights, timber, and all the other things that go along with land. Even on a small transaction, it is good to understand these aspects of land representation. It’s just good business!

Our military families, both active duty and prior service, face unique challenges. Challenges my family experienced over my 23-year Naval Submarine career. Bringing education and awareness of these challenges to the Northwest Region is something these families and our associates can certainly benefit from.

Additionally, bringing career information to the Military community and the opportunities that exist at KW they could consider when transitioning out of the service is something I’m really excited about. The talent pool within our Armed Forces is immense, both with service members themselves and their spouses. Tapping into this incredible group would be a true Win-Win for all!

The Northwest region should expect a better understanding of the Military families in our markets and better tools to serve those that serve us.
